Question by Terrance T: is it safe to feed a german shepherd the”raw food diet”?

Best answer:

Answer by shepard’s rule
I would not feed my german shepherds raw food all the time and nothing else. Although our breeder was giving our male puppy bits of raw hamburger when he was 8 weeks old. she said it was because he was not able to get to his mother’s milk as well as his siblings. I still give it to him to give him medicine from time to time.

I asked my Vet the same question. She had some very god opinions of it. I suggest that you talk to your Vet about it.
The raw food diet is good, but if you have kids in your house hold then you have Salmonella and E. coli and such to worry about. Cause even after bleaching and hand washing and even letting the dish run threw the dishwasher there is still the bacteria on it. Which is not good to expose your children to. If it’s just adults in the house hold it isn’t as serious.
But I do suggest you talk to your Vet about the raw food diet about it first.
