The expiration date on a soda, or anything else in the supermarket, is a “sell by” date, usually it’s good for a while after the date if it is unopened.
Meat and milk would be good for a couple of days, potato chips for a couple of weeks, and a coke, probably for two or three months. If it is a diet soda it will start to lose its “sweet” taste fairly quickly after the date, but will still be perfectly safe to consume for a couple of months.
Yes because a few days after the experation date for a product such a soda doesn’t mean its bad…it just means the store cannot sell it after that date or be responsible for it if it is bad (which it wont be). And probably the worst that will happen is that it will just taste flat.
It doesn’t really go bad, experation dates on sodas are there so that you’ll drink it before the sugars, flavorings, and preservatives start breaking down causing a funny taste. So you can drink it, but it may taste weird.
Yes it is safe. I have drank Diet Coke that is 6 months past the expiration date. It just starts to taste ‘tinny’ if it is canned. Bottled Diet Coke seems to taste the same but it does go flat. It’s great for when you have the stomach flu. You don’t want the bubbles then anyway.
Black Cherry Vanilla Coke is just being introduced here in this part of CANADA. I would assume when buying it here and it being so new that it would at least have an expiration date of 6 months from now. I bought some and really didn’t look.
yes you can it just dose not taste the same but yes it is safe
It will be safe..But the flavor will be little flat
most likley… but if it tastes funny- DO NOT SWALLOW IT spit it out right away.
Yes, the expiration date on soda is really about flavor, not food safety.
I didn’t know that sodas had expiration dates. Wow!
Yes, I’m sure that it will be safe to serve, but it may be a bit flat. But if the flatness doesn’t bother you, go ahead and serve it.

only one way to find out if expired food is bad, and that is to eat it. Well in this case drink it.

They even give us milk that’s never been refridgerated!! Yeah yeah, it’s called UHT milk… But who cares? It’s still nasty.
