unfortunately, none of the sugar subs are good for you. the best thing to do is drink soda water and slices of fruit. fresca, coke zero, etc come close, but they still have aspartame in them.

I don’t know about sodium but I know Coke makes a caffeine free diet soda. I can’t tell you which sweetener is the safest since I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure they’re all quite shitty and we’ve only just cracked the tip of the iceberg on how they effect us. Coke is also extremely evil and is very involved in animal cruelty.

You seem to be health minded so my little *unrequested* suggestion for a soda like taste is to mix the healthy 100% fruit concentrates from places like health stores with plain soda – it’s very good and you’ll know exactly what went into it.

Otherwise, I know in Australia there are natural soda products which you can actually decipher the ingredients in, but are not diet as far as I know. I’m sure there would be some sort of variation wherever you are.

Maybe check out a larger health store like Whole Foods if you’re in the States, they seem to cater to a wide range of needs.

    Good luck :)

I think all diet soda’s are basically the same. They are better than drinking regular soda though because they are low in sodium and don’t contain sugar. Water or crystal light or ice tea is best. Diet soda because it is carbonated can make you bloat and tha asparatime I heard is bad for you. Water based drinks are better because they filter through the kidneys better and will help flush you out.
